My Family began the day I first became “Mommy” to my son, Ryan Kristopher. He was so cuddly and warm and absolutely delightful.

A joy to raise and he went on to become a wonderful father to my grand dgtrs (grans) Emily & Faith.

My sweet little daughter, Laura Marie Elizabeth was born the following year. Smart as a whip and a wonderful daughter. She is all grown up now, an amazing woman, wife and mother to her  ‘Miracle baby girl’ Julianna, born in August 2011!

My Canine Family…

I have always be fortunate to have grown up with a dog in our family. As a kid, I had a Miniature Black Lab named “Beauty.” When I started my own family, my son Ryan, wanted a “Bulldog!” We scoured SCPA’s for his bulldog. Ryan was 10 years old. We finally got a “Bulldog” and I should have paid attention when the Manager said, “Have I got a bulldog for you!”

The dog had already been named, Ruby, so we kept her name. She was 2 years old, our first rescue. A few months later my sons friend said that he liked our Pitbull! PITBULL! “It’s a Staffordshire Terrier,” I said. Come to find out, 1 and the same, but we loved her already. So, pitbull it was, loving and loyal. She was still living with me in my empty nest, long after Ryan was married.

Next, Sarah came along, rescued from the kennel where I had taken Ruby for boarding. Another Pitbull. Loving and loyal…I lost her, aged 12 last November.

Now, my 3rd and final Pitbull, Clay. My friend found him at the Humane Society and even though I wasn’t quite ‘ready yet,’ he came home with me in my car! Clay is 5 years old, my first male dog, but so well behaved and loving. Turns out, he’s more of a Boxer breed than a Staffy. Duped again, but loving it ;o)
